Enjoy 4th of July with Festive Treats for Gymnasts (and the whole BBQ)

Gymnasts: Not 𝒂𝒍𝒍 of your 4th of July Treats 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 considered "Healthy" 🤯 .

Want to stop stressing and feeling guilty about upcoming holidays and start enjoying the special events in life? You've probably been told, maybe by a teammate or parent or coach, that you can NEVER enjoy a food that isn't "healthy". Nothing with sugar. Nothing for dessert. Not even on holidays.

But the truth is, the most successful gymnasts live by the 80/20 or 90/10 rule (meaning that 80-90% of their food choices are made to fuel for success with nutritious foods and the other 10-20% of food choices are made for other reasons like fun, celebrations, and enjoyment!) .

So lets say you eat 3 meals and 3 snacks each day with 2-4 foods at each, that's a total of 18 food choices each day. If 1 or 2 of those foods are more fun than nutritious, that still means 89-95% of your choices are fueling your goals!

Sounds great, right! One food, one meal, or one day will not change your body or your health. But one food could be the difference between having happy memories of the day or feeling anxious, withdrawn, or guilty. Which would you choose?

So today, I wanted to share some of my favorite Red, White, & Blue treats to help you celebrate this weekend and all summer long!
